Hello, I'm BeUnKa Vaezsis
First of all, so happy to have you here! I'm the face and founder behind Sol Narmina. I'm a wife, mother and entrepreneur just starting out. I started this company to help women who suffer from the effects of Sjögren's Syndrome such as dry skin learn to combat and hydrate their skin. As someone who has suffered from the effects of Sjögren's since age 16, I know first hand how hard it can be to find high quality products that will nourish and moisturize the skin.
My Story
At age 16, I was diagnosed with Sjögren's Syndrome. My mother also has the autoimmune disorder and at the time of the diagnosis, I was not sure what all it meant other than I had a bad case of dry mouth. Over the next couple years as I entered my early twenties and adulthood, I started to see many other effects on my body including my skin. Our skin is our largest organ and but it also serves as a protective barrier. I noticed no matter how much "lotion" I was putting, I still felt so dry and sometimes like I had lost every bit of moisture in my skin. At age 22, I started experimenting with making my own natural skin care and hair care products. I enjoyed the creative process, however life hit in one of its ups and down blows that I fell so after two years, I stopped making the effort to create my own products. Fast forward to 2024, I started feeling that same eagerness to start making my own products but this time, dive deep and start a business around it. Not only am I happy to have started back doing something I love and find rewarding but I am also able to help other women like myself and my mom who have to live with the effects of Sjögren's. My goal is to create products that not only lock in moisture, hydrate and nourish your skin, but also bring awareness to Sjögren's Syndrome and comfort you during those flare-ups by creating feminine and comfort products.
